This Week's poll 13/12/07

If you want to do more than just click you can comment on this post.

Last week's poll: Opposing women in ministry is as bad as opposing black people in ministry? 18 votes, agree 18, disagree 0. One more vote I vote agree.

I didn't realise people still went under those old labels!

You bet they do. Some are only comfortable with them as long as they can hyphenate them; some are uncomfortable with them but still value aspects of the identity to which they point; some prefer not be labelled which is of course impossible - they just end up being labelled as those who don't like labels and anyway rejecting all labels is a denial of the corporate nature of our identity - labels after all are just names we give to people or things that share similar characteristics. Plenty are entirely comfortable with them and want to defend them.

So they may be inadequate they may less appropriate than they used to be but they are definitely still around!

At last a nice easy one! As I came to faith in a "liberal" (non-Baptist, in case anyone's checking) church, and I know people of all shades of Christian theology who did so too, including others ministers and missionaries, my answer has to be 'no.' It might be a different view of what faith means or does, but it is faith.

I'm with Graham. Labels like this are so 20th century. Maybe I've just used to ignoring people who wear such labels, but this seems a very strange poll.
